Dr Tahira Jokhio

I have been a general practitioner at Symonds Street Medical Centre for 2 years.

I was born in Karachi, Pakistan and was the first child in my family. I had multiple interests when growing up and wanted to be a journalist, artist or historian. Being doctor was not something on the top of my list.

I like working at Symonds Street Medical Centre as we care about each other like a family. It is flexible job and I work 4 days a week and able to spend time with my family.

I love helping and treating people with respect, listening and helping them getting better.

I previously used to draw portraits. Nowadays I enjoy spending time with my kids and family, reading books, playing and going on walks with them. I do also enjoy watching Pakistani television programmes and music when time permits.
